A Testament amerikai thrash metal együttes, amelyet 1983-ban alapítottak a kaliforniai Berkeley-ben. Eredetileg Legacy néven működött, de 1986-ban felvette a Testament nevet. A thrash metal egyik legjelentősebb képviselője, becslések szerint világszerte több mint 14 millió hordozót adott el.
Az Original Album Series válogatás 2013-ban jelent meg a Rhino kiadónál ötlemezes CD boxként. Öt stúdióalbum remasterelt kiadását mutatja be a nyolcvanas és kilencvenes évek fordulójáról: a debütáló The Legacy (1987), a The New Order (1988), a Practice What You Preach (1989), a Souls of Black (1990) és a The Ritual (1992) címűeket. A gyűjtemény összesen 50 dalt foglal magában, beleértve az olyan klasszikus thrash metal számokat, mint az Over the Wall, az Into the Pit vagy a Practice What You Preach.
