A Grateful Dead 1965-ben alakult amerikai rockegyüttes Kaliforniában, amely eklektikus stílusáról vált ismertté, ötvözve a rock, folk, country, jazz, bluegrass, blues, gospel és pszichedelia elemeit. A zenekar különösen a koncerteken hallható hosszú improvizációkról és az elkötelezett Deadheads névre hallgató rajongótáboráról híres. 2007-ben a csapat életműdíjat kapott a Grammy-díjátadón.
A Boston Garden, Boston, Ma 5/7/77 (RSD 2023) című bakelitalbum az 1977. május 7-i bostoni Boston Garden-ben tartott koncertet örökíti meg. A limitált kiadás a Record Store Day 2023 keretében jelent meg, amelynek célja a hagyományos lemezboltok támogatása. A felvételek között olyan dalok szerepelnek, mint a Bertha, Terrapin Station, Friend of the Devil vagy az Eyes of the World.
