A Blur a brit rockszíntér egyik meghatározó együttese a kilencvenes évekből. A londoni britpop-formáció – Damon Albarn (ének, billentyűk), Graham Coxon (gitár), Alex James (basszusgitár) és Dave Rowntree (dobok) – 1991-ben debütált a Leisure albummal, és a kilencvenes évek közepén a britpop-mozgalom kulcsszereplőjévé vált, miközben emlékezetes rivalizálást vívott az Oasis együttessel.
