John Lee Hooker (1912–2001) amerikai bluesénekes, gitáros és zeneszerző volt, aki mély, nyers hangjával és jellegzetes gitárstílusával vált híressé. Stílusa a hagyományos delta bluest ötvözte a boogie-woogie ritmusokkal és az elektromos hangzással. 1991-ben beiktatták a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-be, és a 20. század egyik legjelentősebb bluesművészeként tartják számon.
