Az Iron Maiden brit heavy metal együttes, amelyet 1975-ben alapított Steve Harris basszusgitáros, a New Wave of British Heavy Metal úttörője. A metalra gyakorolt hatása meghatározó volt; az 1980-as debütáló album óta az egyik legstabilabb és kereskedelmileg legsikeresebb zenekar a műfajban.
A Death on the Road az együttes hatodik koncertalbuma, amelyet 2005-ben adott ki a Parlophone kiadó. A lemezt 2003. november 24-én vették fel a dortmundi Westfalenhallenben a Dance of Death album turnéja során. Ez a dupla bakelit 16 dalt tartalmaz, köztük olyan klasszikusokat, mint a Hallowed Be Thy Name, Fear of the Dark, The Number of the Beast vagy a Run to the Hills, az újabb Brave New World és Dance of Death albumok slágerei mellett. Az eredeti mixet Kevin Shirley készítette, a szerkesztést Steve Harris végezte.
