A Bursting Out élő album 1978 szeptemberében jelent meg a Chrysalis kiadónál, dokumentálva a májusi és júniusi európai Heavy Horses turnét. A dupla album 2 CD-n 18 felvételt tartalmaz a berni Festhalle-ből és más európai színpadokról, bemutatva a zenekar akkori folkrock fázisát és régebbi klasszikusokat egyaránt. A repertoár magában foglalja a Heavy Horses album dalait (No Lullaby, Hunting Girl), valamint markáns progresszív kompozíciókat, mint a tizenkét perces Thick as a Brick vagy a legendás Aqualung és Locomotive Breath. Az anyag reprezentatív keresztmetszetet nyújt a Jethro Tull hetvenes évekbeli munkásságából.
