A ReLoad album 3 CD-n jelent meg 1997 novemberében a Blackened kiadónál. Hetedik stúdióalbumként a Load 1996-os folytatása — eredetileg a Metallica dupla albumban gondolkodott, de Bob Rock producer tanácsára két különálló kiadványra osztotta fel az anyagot. A ReLoad 42 dalt tartalmaz, beleértve az eredeti felvételeket és a Load komponálási időszakából származó demókat. Az album az 1. helyen debütált az USA-ban (436 000 eladott példány az első héten), világszerte pedig több mint 9,5 millió példányban kelt el.
