A Saxon brit heavymetal együttes, amelyet 1975-ben alapítottak a yorkshire-i Barnsleyben, és a brit heavymetal új hullámának (NWOBHM) egyik vezető csoportja. A 80-as években nyolc albumuk került be a brit Top 40-be, és sikereket értek el Európa-szerte és Japánban is.
A Decade of the Eagle: The Anthology 1979–1988 bakelitlemez-válogatás 2017-ben jelent meg a Union Square Music kiadónál, és 34 dalt tartalmaz a zenekar leghíresebb évtizedéből. Az antológia a Saxon legnagyobb dicsőségének időszakát öleli fel a debüttől a 80-as évek végéig, amikor a csoport meghatározta a NWOBHM hangzását jellegzetes kemény riffjeivel és energikus koncertjeivel. A dalok között szerepel a Wheels of Steel, a Princess of the Night, a Denim and Leather és The Eagle Has Landed is.
