A The Stranglers egy angol, guildfordi rockegyüttes, amelyet 1974-ben alapítottak. A brit punk színtérről indult, legrégebben aktív zenekarok egyike. Hangzásukat a billentyűk jellegzetes használata, valamint a punk rock, a new wave és a post-punk ötvözése jellemzi.
Az Original Album Series című válogatás 2015-ben jelent meg a Parlophone kiadónál, és öt stúdióalbumot tartalmaz az együttes aranykorából. Az 55 dal között megtalálható az 1977-es Rattus Norvegicus debütalbum, amely megalapozta a The Stranglers helyét a brit zenei színtéren, valamint a nyolcvanas évek elejéig megjelent további kiadványok. Felcsendülnek olyan dalok, mint a Tank, a Nice n' Sleazy, a The Raven vagy a Hanging Around.
