A Third Bass egy amerikai hip-hop együttes volt, amely a 80-as és 90-es évek fordulóján működött, tagjai MC Serch, Prime Minister Pete Nice és DJ Richie Rich voltak. Az elsők között volt az interraciális hip-hop formációk között, amelyeknek sikerült betörniük a mainstream piacra.
A Derelicts of Dialect című 1991-es album CD-n 23 dalt tartalmaz, köztük a Pop Goes the Weasel című sláger kislemezt, amely széles körű ismertséget hozott a csoportnak. A lemez a hip-hop aranykorának klasszikus boom-bap stílusát testesíti meg éles szövegekkel és precíz ritmikával. A stúdiófelvételek mellett tartalmazza a címadó dal remixváltozatát és a sláger rádiós változatát is. Mindkét Third Bass stúdióalbum elnyerte az RIAA arany minősítését.
