A Dream Theater egy 1985-ben Bostonban alakult amerikai progresszív metal együttes. Technikai tökéletességéről, monumentális kompozícióiról és virtuóz hangszeres előadásáról ismert, a progresszív metal egyik legjelentősebb neve.
