A Rock in Rio koncertalbum 2002-ben jelent meg a Parlophone kiadónál, és a Brave New World Tour zárókoncertjét rögzíti 2001 januárjából, amikor az együttes a brazil Rock in Rio fesztiválon lépett fel mintegy 250 000 néző előtt — pályafutásuk második legnagyobb közönsége előtt. Ez a dupla album 2 CD-n 19 dallal dokumentálja Bruce Dickinson énekes és Adrian Smith gitáros visszatérését a felállásba, és olyan klasszikus slágereket tartalmaz, mint az The Number of the Beast, a Run to the Hills vagy a Hallowed Be Thy Name, valamint az akkoriban aktuális Brave New World album dalait. A felvétel most remasterelt változatban jelenik meg.
Az album megjelenésekor a felállást Steve Harris (basszusgitár, háttérvokál, billentyűs hangszerek), Nicko McBrain (dob, ütőhangszerek) és Janick Gers (gitár) alkották.
