Az együttes ötödik stúdióalbuma volt, egyben a klasszikus Three Amigos felállás utolsó lemeze. A címadó dal Iron Fist kislemezként jelent meg, és az Egyesült Királyságban a 29. helyig jutott. A kétlemezes CD-kiadás 44 felvételt tartalmaz, köztük alternatív verziókat és bónusz instrumentálokat, mint a Sponge Cake vagy a Peter Gunn.
Az album megjelenésekor a Motörhead tagjai Lemmy Kilmister (basszusgitár, ének), Phil „Philthy Animal” Taylor (dob), Eddie Clarke (gitár) és Brian Robertson (gitár) voltak.
