A New Order brit együttes, amely 1980-ban alakult a Joy Division megmaradt tagjaiból Ian Curtis énekes halála után. A new wave műfaj kulcsszereplői a post-punkot elektronikával és tánczenei ritmusokkal ötvözték, és a nyolcvanas évek egyik legbefolyásosabb együttesévé váltak.
A Power, Corruption & Lies című album eredetileg 1983 májusában jelent meg a Factory Records kiadónál, mint az együttes második stúdióalbuma. A debütáló Movement (1981) lemezhez képest határozott elmozdulást jelent az elektronikus hangzás felé, hangsúlyosabb szintetizátor-használattal. Az albumot a Rolling Stone magazin és a Pitchfork is beválogatta a nyolcvanas évek 100 legjobb albuma listájára. Ez a gyűjtői box öt CD-n az eredeti felvétel mellett számos ritka anyagot, korabeli session felvételeket, alternatív mixeket és képes kiadványt is kínál.
