A Running Wild egy hamburgi német heavy metal együttes, amely a 80-as évek első felében a helyi metal szcéna egyik meghatározó képviselőjévé vált. Kezdetben szövegeikben a sátáni szimbolika dominált, az Under Jolly Roger (1987) albumtól kezdve azonban kalózos témákra és történelmi motívumokra váltottak, ami jellegzetes ismertetőjegyükké vált.
A Ready For Boarding album 1988-as élő felvétel, amelyet most 2LP-n adtak ki narancssárga bakeliten. Az első lemez egy müncheni fellépést dokumentál olyan dalokkal, mint az Under Jolly Roger, Raise Your Fist vagy Prisoner of Our Time, a második LP pedig egy 1989-es düsseldorfi koncert remasterelt verzióját tartalmazza, többek között a Riding the Storm, Bad to the Bone és Conquistadores című dalokkal. Összesen húsz dal dokumentálja az együttes energikus színpadi előadását korai sikerének korszakából.
