A Soundgarden egy amerikai rockegyüttes volt, amely 1984-ben alakult Seattle-ben és a grunge egyik megteremtője volt. A Nirvanával, az Alice in Chains-szel és a Pearl Jammel együtt alkotta a seattle-i grunge Nagy Négyesét. Az együttes 1997-ben feloszlott, majd 2010-ben újra összeállt.
A Live From the Artists Den élő album 2019-ben jelent meg dupla CD-n az UMe kiadónál digipak tokban. A felvétel 29 dalt tartalmaz és átfogó keresztmetszetet nyújt az együttes munkásságából — a Spoonman, Black Hole Sun vagy Outshined klasszikusoktól a King Animal albumról származó újabb szerzeményekig. Az album az Artists Den sorozat egy koncertjét rögzíti, amely kiemelkedő előadókat kapcsol össze intim, stúdiószerű környezettel. A Soundgarden itt energikus grunge ritmusokat és nyers heavy rock erőt mutatott be, amely a 90-es évek egyik legfontosabb zenekarává tette őket.
Az album megjelenésekor a felállást Kim Thayil gitáros, Matt Cameron dobos és Ben Shepherd basszusgitáros alkotta.
