A Status Quo brit rockzenekar, amely 1962-ben alakult Londonban, és jellegzetes boogie rock stílusáról ismert. A 60-as évek vége óta az egyik legsikeresebb brit együttes, több tucat listás slágerrel.
A Riffs című album 2003 novemberében jelent meg az Universal Music TV kiadó gondozásában 2 CD-n, és összesen 31 dalt tartalmaz. Tíz dal rock- és popklasszikusok feldolgozása (Born to Be Wild, I Fought the Law, Tobacco Road), míg a többi a 70-es évekbeli saját slágerek újrafelvett változata, mint a Caroline, a Whatever You Want vagy a Rockin' All Over the World. Az első kiadás bónusz DVD-t is tartalmazott televíziós felvételekkel és a „Jam Side Down” című sláger videoklipjével az előző albumról.
Az album megjelenésekor a Status Quo felállása Francis Rossi (ének, gitár), Rick Parfitt (ének, gitár), Andy Bown (harmonika, billentyűk), John Edwards (basszusgitár) és Matthew Letley (dob) volt.
