A Super Furry Animals walesi alternatív rockegyüttes, amelyet 1993-ban alapítottak Cardiffban. Wales egyik legjelentősebb zenei formációja, amely eklektikus stílusáról – a poptól a progresszív rockon át az elektronikáig és punkig – vált híressé.
A Rings Around the World 2001-ben jelent meg az együttes ötödik stúdióalbumaként, egyben az első lemezükként a nagy Epic Records kiadónál. A korong megjelenésekor úttörőnek számított — az első album a történelemben, amely egyidejűleg audio CD-n és DVD-n jelent meg. Az album a brit slágerlistán a 3. helyig jutott, jelölték a Mercury-díjra, a Mojo magazin pedig az év lemezének választotta. Zeneileg ötvözi a popot, a progresszív rockot, a jungle-t, az elektronikát, a technót, a punkot és a death metalt. A megjelenés huszadik évfordulójára az eredeti szalagokról remaszterelt kiadás jelenik meg 3 CD-n, demókkal, remixekkel és bónuszfelvételekkel (összesen 55 dal). Az albumról származnak a Juxtapozed with U, a (Drawing) Rings Around the World és az It's Not the End of the World? című kislemezek.
