A Vagabonds of the Western World a zenekar harmadik stúdióalbuma, amely 1973-ban jelent meg a Deram kiadónál. Ez a japán bakelitkiadás a Legend Of Hard Rock sorozat része, és 8 dalt tartalmaz több mint 40 perc összhosszal. Ez volt a zenekar utolsó lemeze Eric Bell eredeti gitárossal, valamint az első, melynek borítóját Jim Fitzpatrick készítette – az ő munkája később a banda vizuális arculatának ikonikus részévé vált. Az album keményebb, hard rockosabb hangzást képvisel a korábbi lemezekhez képest, olyan dalokkal, mint The Rocker, Mama Nature Said vagy a címadó Vagabond of the Western World.
