Az Afflicted egy stockholmi svéd death metal zenekar volt, amelyet 1988-ban alapítottak Afflicted Convulsion néven. Stílusukat „Psychodelic Ultraviolent Heavy Grindcore”-ként határozták meg, és a technical death metalt thrash metal elemekkel ötvözték.
A Beyond Redemption / Demos & Eps 1989-1992 tripla LP összeállítás a korai anyagot gyűjti egybe – az 1989-es Toxic Existence és Psychedelic Grindcore demókat, az 1990–1991-es Beyond Redemption és The Odious Reflection demókat, promóciós felvételeket és az 1992-es Rising to the Sun EP-t.
