A Dream Theater amerikai progressive metal együttes, amelyet 1985-ben alapítottak Bostonban. Az alapítók, John Petrucci (gitár), John Myung (basszusgitár) és Mike Portnoy (dob) a Berklee College of Music hallgatói voltak, és az együttest eredetileg Majesty néven indították.
A Lost Not Forgotten Archives album limitált színes bakelit kiadásban jelenik meg (2700 példány világszerte), és ritka demófelvételek gyűjteményét tartalmazza 1986-ból, amikor a Dream Theater még eredeti nevén, Majesty-ként működött. Az eddig csak CD-n elérhető anyagot újra keverték és remasterelték, bakelitre pedig most jelenik meg először. A válogatásban megtalálható többek között a Rush YYZ és a Stormtroopers of Death Anti-Procrastination Song című dalának feldolgozása. A dupla album aranyossárga vinyllemezen, gatefold borítóban készült, és tartalmazza az album CD-változatát is.
