A Hawkwind egy angol rockegyüttes, amely a space rock egyik fő képviselőjeként ismert. A zenekar 1969 novemberében alakult, és zenéjébe beépítette a hard rock, a progresszív rock és a pszichedelikus rock elemeit. Szövegeik gyakran a városi élettel és a sci-fivel foglalkoznak.
The 1999 Party című dupla bakelit album élő felvételt tartalmaz a Chicago Auditoriumban 1974. március 21-én rendezett koncertről, amelyet eredetileg 1997-ben adtak ki kizárólag CD-n. A Record Store Day 2019 keretében ez a kiadás limitált, 5500 példányos kiadásban jelenik meg bakeliten. A felvétel olyan klasszikus dalokat tartalmaz, mint a Brainstorm, a Sonic Attack vagy a Master of the Universe, amelyek megörökítik a space rockra jellemző lassú instrumentális részeket és az elektronikus orgonák hangzását.
